Nineteen female footballers between the ages of eleven and thirteen years old, will depart the island for a two-month training programme in China from the beginning of July to the end of August this year. This will be the continuation of a programme instituted through a bilateral sporting agreement between Jamaica’s Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sports, and the Asian Republic. Similar contingents went in the two years leading up to the onset of Covid 19, and this will be the first visit since the pandemic. The invitees will be hosted at a training camp from March 1-3 at the UWICHBC. They are expected to arrive there by 4pm on Friday.
