The accolades keep rolling in for Jamaica’s captain Khadija Shaw and the Jamaica Football Federation is extremely excited. After taking the Football Writers Association Women’s Player of the Year, Shaw was on Friday voted the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) Player of the Season. “It’s pleasing to see Khadija receiving multiple accolades for her achievements, ” commented Michael Ricketts, President of the JFF. “She obviously worked hard to improve her craft and the results have been overwhelming. The management and staff of the federation congratulate her heartily and wish her a speedy recovery from her injury.” Shaw scored 21 goals and added three assists in 18 games before injury curtailed her season at Manchester City.
