The Jamaica Football Federation would like to congratulate our U20 Reggae Girlz for winning the Jewels of the Caribbean Women’s U20 tournament in Trinidad and Tobago on Friday. The Jamaicans defeated the Trinidad and Tobago Red Angels 2-1 in the final courtesy of goals from Alyssa Stephenson and Tiny Seaton. This was the 4th win in a row for Jamaica as they ended the tournament with 15 goals scored in 5 games. Earlier in the tournament the U20 Reggae Girlz drew 1-1 with St. Vincent and the Grenadines, beat Dominica 7-0, beat the Trinidad and Tobago White Angels 4-0, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Angels 1-0 and again defeated the Red Angels 2-1 in the final.

President of the Jamaica Football Federation commended the Girlz on the accomplishment. “It truly is a wonderful way to end 2024, our U14 Boyz won a trophy in Trinidad and Tobago and now our U20 Girlz finish the calendar year with a trophy. I would like to send a special commendation to the entire team and the coaching staff for this feat. On the pitch in 2024, we accomplished quite a lot and we are certainly elated to add another trophy to our cabinet. This will certainly bode well for our U20 Girlz who commence the CONCACAF U20 Qualifiers next year. The U20 Reggae Girlz will commence CONCACAF U20 Qualifiers in February 2025 in Nicaragua. The Jamaicans are in Group “D” alongside Nicaragua, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The group winner will advance to the final round of the CONCACAF U20 Qualifiers.
