The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is the governing body of football in Jamaica, responsible for overseeing the island’s national teams, domestic competitions, and the overall development of the sport.
Originally founded in 1910 as the Jamaica Football Association, the organisation adopted its current name in 1965 to reflect a modern and unified approach to football governance. The JFF operates through a national structure comprising Parish Associations and Minor Associations, which manage and promote football activities on behalf of the Federation within their respective areas.
To be a professional and socially impactful organisation through winning performance — both on and off the field.
As the official authority for Jamaica’s football programme, the JFF manages all twelve (12) national teams, including the men’s and women’s senior squads, and governs the Wray & Nephew Jamaica Premier League.
The Federation’s key mandate is to prepare national teams for global tournaments, with a primary focus on qualification for the FIFA World Cup and Olympic Games.
Jamaica has a proud football legacy — the Reggae Boyz made history by qualifying for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, while the Senior Reggae Girlz became the first Caribbean women’s team to qualify for back-to-back FIFA World Cups in 2019 and 2023.
The JFF is a non-profit organisation, funded by the Sports Development Foundation (SDF), CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football), FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), and a range of corporate sponsors.
The Federation’s major decisions are made by the Board of Directors, which comprises:
The President
Three (3) Vice Presidents
The General Secretary
Presidents of the 13 Parish Associations
Two (2) Co-opted Members
To ensure efficient operations, the JFF maintains several Standing Committees, as outlined in Section 18 of its Bylaws:
Finance Committee
Audit and Compliance Committee
Referee’s Committee
Technical and Development Committee
Committee for Women’s Football
Sports Medical Committee
Committee for Security Matters and Fair Play
Competitions Committee
In addition, there are Governance and Disciplinary Commissions, along with a Marketing Committee, each dedicated to supporting transparency, integrity, and the continued growth of Jamaican football.
The JFF envisions football as a powerful driver of national pride, youth development, and social impact. Through investment in talent, infrastructure, and community programmes, the Federation remains committed to elevating Jamaican football — from the grassroots to the global stage.
