The mantle has been taken 🙌🏾
Andrew Peart is appointed Director of Football take the baton from Wendell Downswell who previous held the seat as Technical Director, reinforcing our commitment to structure, strategy, and sustained success for Jamaican football. 🇯🇲🔥
“Downswell will now do a lot of coaching with the coaching education programme and will also be head coach of the under-17s.
“Even though Downswell is in retirement, we still think he has a lot left to offer. He will do some coaching with the coaching school and will help with the general youth programmes.” – Micheal Ricketts

“We are looking at his (Peart) terms of reference, his portfolio responsibilities and we have shifted some responsibilities.
“Peart will take over as director of football and he will also take over the Talent Development Scheme (TDS) and that would include grassroots.
“So Peart has a load of responsibilities now but he has the skills and the capacity to manage and do well,” Ricketts said.
Peart will transition from his role as Head of the Coaching School into a broader leadership capacity, with responsibility for federation policy support and improved documentation processes. He will oversee development programmes across parishes and clubs and will drive execution of Technical Committee recommendations following Board approval.
🗣️”Taking over this position is both an honour and responsibility. Our focus now,is on building a clear football identity, stronger pathways for players and coaches, and aligned global standards so Jamaican football can compete consistently.”
